Design Information
The 2 seats
ultra light main frame is made of 4130 chrome-moly steel aircraft alloy tubing. It
is welded into a triangulated structure to give a high strength to weight
ratio. Wings and tail are 6061-T6 aluminum tubing. Wing ribs are also
triangulated 6061-T6 tubing. Wing spars and the tail boom are 6" 6063-T6
aluminum tubing with chrome-moly steel reinforcing brackets at the frame and
lift strut attach points. Control surfaces are a very strong design in which
the the ribs are specially formed to wrap around the spar. The fiberglass nose
cowl is pre-formed from high strength fiberglass that requires very little
finishing. The full span ailerons are activated by pushrod and bellcrank
linkage and all connections are made with rod end bearings. All cables are
stainless steel, pre-cut, factory swaged and have been pull tested by the
manufacturer.
The Stits Polyfiber covering process (included) is strong yet light weight. The
polyester fabric, which is heat shrunk, is very easy to use and will last a
lifetime with proper care. It is also very easy to repair if damaged.
